Fridays are usually treat day in our house. Half day at work, take away and a movie or a series binge on Netflix. Today is totally different.
It started off not so bad with my usual Mullerlight yoghurt and an apple. By break time I was absolutely starving. I had a packet of Walkers Baked (5 syns). I had a meeting straight after work so I had a mugshot (free chow mein one) to keep me going until I got home. That's when the Friday blues started - pizza was calling...I had beans on toast (HE B) with a sprinkling of low fat cheese (HE A).
Even though I really wanted take away I did really enjoy dinner. We made syn free sweet potato fries, steak (minus the fat), mushrooms and onions and a big hearty salad to go with it. It was a very good dinner and very filling.
I've not been too bad in that I've still got 5 syns left tonight (had a fudge bar for pudding). I still need to drink more water/diluting juice.
Overall, a good diet day - very healthy.
Feeling very tired today though. I think my body is possibly just adjusting to the new diet.
Meg.

Day 2 - So far, so good!
Today has been a much easier day - I am saving my HE B choice until dinner so I only had a yoghurt (Mullerlight Banana and Custard) and an apple for breakfast.
When it came to break I had my Walkers Baked crisps today (5 syns). This so far was the hardest part of the day - imagine the despair when I saw that there was a huge salted caramel chocolate cake sitting at work. I managed to resist the temptation but with great difficulty.
I have to say lunch is a good one today - leftover chilli and rice from last night's dinner. I love that and it is really filling so you feel like you don't have to snack so much between lunch and dinner. One thing that I feel has been really good is that I am really thinking about what I'm having to drink throughout the day. I used to drink lots of Diet Coke (syn free) but I feel that sugar free diluting juice or even water leaves me feeling much more energised and healthy (no headaches!). I have an aim to drink as much water/diluting juice as possible. It can be tricky to get into that habit but I am trying my best.
So as my OH is out working tonight I decided on a quick but awesome syn free dinner. I had my small slices of wholemeal toast as my HE B choice with beans, bacon, fried egg (in frylight), mushrooms and a fried tomato. It was super filling. I also had a few syns by adding 2 tbsps of HP brown sauce.
Syns so far:
Walkers Baked - 5 syns
HP Sauce - 2 syns
Space Raiders - 3 syns
Fudge - 5 syns
Had some milk and may well have another cuppa later to make up my HE A choice.
Feeling good today - still very determined which is an added bonus.
